About Taylor

Taylor Kennedy is a creative based in South Korea. He grew up in a small town in Missouri, then moved to Florida to attend New College of Florida where he majored in the Social Sciences. Art had always been a joy and hobby, but in late 2011 he decided to throw his full focus into honing the techniques of realist oil painting. Living in San Antonio, Texas, he enjoyed taking on a variety of commission work, especially house portraits, which allowed him to practice painting on-site, with his easel and oil paints.

In 2015, he returned to South Korea for a change of pace while continuing his art practice, and in 2020 he graduated from Kookmin University’s MFA Painting program. He is currently a student at the Literature Translation Institute of Korea (한국문학번역원) where he reads Korean novels, short stories, and poetry, and practices translating them into English.
